Back Popping - How to Tackle It
Posted by admin in Prescription Pain Killers on August 22nd, 2009
Back popping often occurs when you make sudden movements which can trigger muscle and ligament strains. A poor posture and improper techniques to lift heavy objects and exercising without warming up first are also some other causes of this kind of pain.
Back popping can occur when you have to have to regularly perform repetitive movements with extreme stretching and twisting movements and also while handling unwieldy objects. While you are at you’re your daily activities, it can occur as your back is vulnerable to all the stresses and strains of your daily life. The body’s vital nerves begin in the spine and that is the reason why it is becoming common and causes a lot of pain when there is muscle imbalance which pulls your back out of alignment. This also leads the muscles and ligaments to suffer from painful strains and sprains.
Movement between the bones in the spine gives your back its flexibility which helps you to move forwards, backwards, to the side or to perform twisting movements like when you get in or out of your car. While lifting large objects from the floor, it is always better to bend at your knees and the n fold the legs rather than bending just your back. This will give more leverage power and help you with the lift and prevent back popping.
Many posture related complaints can be traced back to poor habits in childhood. Schools have to provide regular opportunities for physical activities for children, height adjustable tables and chairs etc. which have implications for back health later in life. A sedentary lifestyle is one of the other causes of back popping. The bones of our back tend to weaken if they are not subject to frequent activity. Those of us with desk jobs do not find time for sufficient physical exercise. This leads to many problems with the bones in the back.
Back popping can be prevented by adopting good bearing, using the correct techniques when handling heavy objects, exercise for strength and flexibility of the body and taking certain practical measures while doing our daily chores. There are many tips to prevent this. Never twist and turn the body till you stand upright. If you maintain the strength and flexibility of the muscles and bones in your back, you can avoid this kind of pain. Spending a lot of time sitting at your workplace can create problems for your back.
