Internet Back Pain Treatments - Wisdom and Warnings
Posted by admin in Prescription Pain Killers, Weight Loss on May 08th, 2009
All over the internet you can find information on dealing with back pain. If you type the phrase “back pain treatments” into Google you will get back 35,500,000 results. If you look to some of these sites, you will find conflicting advice and opinions. You will see enough exercises to prevent you from healing for a long time if you did them all.
Most of the sites are written by medical professionals. It is their nature and education to over complicate simple things. You don’t need to know the technicalities of back pain in order to properly treat it. One can learn a lot from a back pain sufferer who cured themselves even if they didn’t graduate high school. It is far better to learn the cure than it is to understand the medical professions explanation of the causes.
All of the sites mean well, but most recommend or promote association with the medical profession for treatment. The same profession that is responsible for hundreds of thousands of death every year in America. Aside from the risk of death, it also brings with it the very bills one is trying to avoid by doing the internet research to begin with.
Worst of all, it is a recommendation that you leave your back health to someone other than yourself. That is the biggest mistake people make. You are the only expert on your body. You let it get to where it is now, and you are the only one who can fix it. Once you have tired of looking over the websites and finding only confusion, you will no doubt stumble upon any number of paid products that describe various “treatments”. I have seen many of these programs.
For the most part, they are so overdone you may as well keep looking at the web sites. Many are very well produced with professional quality videos and audio files. Others are PDF Ebooks. Some are a combination, and the prices are all over the place. I would suspect that most, if not all, of the programs that are sold will provide relief if they are done as directed. Laziness is the biggest problem most people have and the biggest reason most attempts to self treat back pain fail.
Religiously doing just a couple of exercises over the course of three months will probably cure someone even if they have no clue. It’s the consistency that will produce the cure more than the specifics of the treatment.
Pick a couple of simple exercises to do and stick to them. I would suggest doing them three times a day if you have chronic pain. Keep doing them until the pain is gone. You should also take a couple of days away from doing them for three days you do to give yourself time to heal properly.
