How to Find a Lasting Back Pain Cure
Posted by admin in Prescription Pain Killers, Weight Loss on April 24th, 2009
Back pain is one of the top physical ailments suffered by people all over the world and many hours of work are lost to it. There are many treatments for back problems but the majority do not provide a lasting back pain cure, they just treat the symptoms of back ache.
Some of the treatments that relieve the pain of backache are massage therapy, heat therapy, taking muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatory drugs. All these treatments tend to treat the symptoms but not the root cause of the problem.
To get a long lasting back pain cure you have to treat the main problem that is causing your back ache. In most cases a bad back is caused by muscle problems, this usually builds up over time and then one little thing can set off your bad back, like lifting a chair or bending over the bath and standing up awkwardly.
If you want to treat these muscle problems a good way to go is to visit a physio therapist and ask them to help you, they will tend to do heat therapy to loosen the muscle cramps and then get you to do some stretching and strengthening exercises. They should then give you some gentle exercises to do every morning and evening so your back will improve.
Another good way to strengthen your back muscles is to do yoga or pilates, they will tone, strengthen and improve your core muscles. Over time these core muscles will help stop your back problems.
However there is another way to cure your bad back and that is to find out if you have any muscle misalignment. If you do then you will have muscles working against each other instead of working together, over time this can cause problems and lead to backache. If you can realign these muscles so that they work together like they should then this will get rid of your bad back problems.
To realign these dysfunctional muscles you need to first diagnose which muscles are misaligned and then stretch and strengthen them back into the correct alignment. This takes time and exercise to do but it is well worth the effort to get rid of recurring back problems.
Like most things all of these back pain cures take time and dedication to accomplish, but if you want to get long term relief from a bad back it is well worth trying to do.
How to Get Lasting Lower Back Pain Relief

In this article we are going to look at how you can get long lasting lower back pain relief.
Lower back ache tends to build up over time and then something will set it off, like lifting a child or the groceries out of the car. You bend, lift or twist awkwardly and your back just goes and it is agony.
Lower back ache is usually caused by some form of muscular problem. As you will probably know there are many treatments that your doctor or physio recommend for relieving problems in the lower back. However they tend to only treat the symptoms and not treat the cause of the problem.
Treatments such as muscle relaxants, massage and heat therapy do relieve a bad back but they don’t help in treating the root cause of the problem. Physio therapists have a better chance of helping you with back exercises and stretching but in a lot of cases the exercises they give you are generalized to strengthen all your back muscles and once again don’t treat the root cause of your back problem.
To get completely cured from lower back pain you should be trying to find what caused the pain in the first place. Then you should be looking for something to treat the cause of the pain.
In a lot of cases the root cause of a lower bad back is muscle misalignment, this means that muscles that should be working together are not and are working against each other. Over time these misaligned muscles will work on our bones, tendons, muscles or cartilage and will cause them to become damaged or worn and eventually they will break down. A bit like a car that has a wheel misaligned, the tyres will wear out differently, the same sort of thing happens in your body.
To resolve this problem and correct the misaligned muscles you will have to work at stretching and strengthening the muscles that are causing the problems so that they will once again work together. Once these muscle problems are fixed you will have long lasting lower back pain relief.

Most of us during our life will experience some form of back pain through what ever reason. It may be through an ‘accident’ or some other means. You would have noticed I put ‘accident’ in quotes. I believe that there are no accidents and all things happen for a reason.
If you have read any of my articles before you will know where I am coming from when I say ‘keep an open mind’ and make no judgments. Take the role as an observer, just watching and reserving judgement.
This addition may be a bit of a ‘tuffy’ to take on board and I know I run the risk of upsetting someone along the way; this is certainly not my intent. Just to keep the record straight, I feel my role is of giver of information, to show others what I have learnt and help them on their journey, teacher if you like. We are all here to learn lessons.
I am not a doctor or medical professional. Who I am is just a simple guide who has studied many things. Those who know me I am a Yoga teacher, Reiki Master Teacher, Spinal Therapist with Thai and Tunia Massage skills. I am guided by my angel guides and the higher realm to help those who have come to me and want to listen. Have I just lost you or are still with me?
I am telling you this so you will have a better understanding where I am coming from, all this information I have received and give come from a greater source than me, I just relay the information and knowledge received in the hope that someone somewhere will receive the benefit of it, and I give thanks that I am able to do so.
I was inspired to write this article by one of my yoga students who I will keep her name private, for now I will call her Suzie which is not her real name. Suzie has been a yoga student of mine for many years and have come to know her well. She had breast cancer a few years ago in 20000 and has just found out that the cancer has returned in her right breast. She had experienced back pain at the back of the area of the breast and had recognised the pattern as similar as before. Her scans had confirmed her worst thoughts.
Suzie tries to keep positive with an open mind. Now what I am about to say please keep an open mind and avoid jumping to conclusions.

Posted by admin in Prescription Pain Killers, Weight Loss on April 24th, 2009
Infrared is electromagnetic radiation that has longer rays than visible light but shorter rays than a microwave. For centuries, heat therapy has been used to alleviate muscle pain. Using thermal heat in the form of infrared light to reduce back pain is gaining popularity. The products that use infrared heat are easily available and quite affordable.
Infrared Heating Pad\r
The Chiondo heating pad is ideal for someone that sits at a desk for most of the day or for someone that spends a lot of time driving. It can be worn around the waist, or on the shoulder and chest to give your arms free mobility. The infrared heat from the pad warms the muscles to relax and relieve tension. The advantage of using this pad is that it heats your body without heating the air around it. This type of heat therapy increases circulation and helps to remove toxins from the body.
Infrared Sauna\r
Another product that provides infrared heat therapy is the portable infrared sauna. Only the interior of the sauna stays warm so the air around you will not be warm. These portable sauna’s come in models that seat one, two, or three people and are easy to assemble and they use about the same amount of electricity as a hair dryer.
Moist heat therapy has been proven to be effective at penetrating deep into muscles and soft tissue than dry heat therapy. Infrared heat increases circulation and removes toxins from the body.
While back pain is usually the result of sore muscles, over worked or an improperly used back, often the pain is caused by a serious injury or medical condition. It is always advisable to consult with a doctor before starting any type of back therapy. A doctor will determine the cause of the problem and be able to recommend a course of therapy.
Diet Health and Fitness - For Lower Back Pain
Posted by admin in Prescription Pain Killers, Weight Loss on April 24th, 2009
Lower back pain is so common and easily induced that 80% of adults have experienced the condition. However, lower back pain can be avoided or eliminated by following the proper diet health and fitness regimen.
If and when you experience pain or soreness in you back for more than one day you should visit your local chiropractor or doctor for x-rays. This is critical as most back pain will not go away on its own and will most likely worsen if ignored.
Most lower back pain is caused by injury, overuse of the back and/or muscle strain. After the initial and chronic pain has healed the best thing you can do for back pain treatment is to begin a fitness program of exercises designed to strengthen the muscles of your lower back.
A simple search in you tube will provide free videos to learn some of the many different types of lower back pain exercises. However, for optimal health and fitness you should try to perform a variety of exercises that will strengthen your entire body, as well as your lower back area.
Back Health And Fitness - Diet And Weight Maintenance
The first thing I would recommend to dull your pain is that you avoid eating any refined sugar (white sugar), as sugar greatly amplifies any pain within your body. Try to eat as healthy a diet, mostly organic fruits and vegetables, as you can. Don’t overlook your diet health when you have pain or an injury. Your diet plays a very important role in the internal healing of injuries.
Staying slim is essential to avoiding and reducing back pain as well as being healthy in general. Any excess weight is extra strain on your back and aerobic exercise is your key to maintaining a healthy weight. Aerobic exercises like biking and walking are low-impact and can be easy on the lower back.
Back Health And Fitness - Strengthening
Strength building is important for keeping your back conditioned. When working out you want to strengthen the areas that support your back like your:
* Abdominals\r
* Hips \r
* Legs
Unless you are already experienced in the area of fitness and strength training it would be a good idea to do so under the supervision of some type of trainer, doctor or physical therapist.
Back Health And Fitness - Stretching
Most people, especially males, will overlook stretching as an important part of their health and fitness regimen. Stretching is just as important as the exercises you do so make sure that you spend the proper time stretching every day.
Your flexibility can only change gradually so it is important to stretch every day in order to consistently gain flexibility. Increased flexibility will drastically reduce your chance of injury and will enhance your muscle strength and power.
But, like strength training, stretching should also be done with some type of expert supervision or guidance so you don’t overdo it and hurt yourself. Hopefully some of these recommendations can reduce your pain and help you avoid any future occurrences.
